I think the opening of my own photography studio. I have a Nikon D80, this is a good camera for studio pictures? Buy another camera is out of question, so I really know if this is true or not! Furthermore, some additional study tips would be very grateful!

Yes, you can use the D80 as a camera studio.

The key is the D80 as a camera studio is that it lacks a PC socket for studio lights. So you should choose a shoe on the Nikon PC connection or an infrared transmitter to trigger the studio lights.

As a complementary study tips: invest in a flash meter. Used Minolta flash units are at discount prices on eBay. You can buy them back under the brand Kenko. There are also flashes Sekonic.

Not skimp on the entertainment lighting either.

D80 is a good start to the photo studio.
Later, if your company is profitable, you should consider upgrading to a specialized studio camera (like Fuji S5 Pro), then even a medium format camera ...

I say yes, if you are planning a photography outdoors ... then a few final camera (D200 or higher), would protect a body for better moisture, dirt, dust, etc. Otherwise, if it is strictly within the D80 is very good.

Also, I suggest the Nikon 80mm f/1.4 a great portrait lens, tack, and Sharp D80's images look spectacular.

I worked for 3 years in a professional studio in my country. They have a 2 and a Nikon D70 Nikon D100. Both are older and have less of your D80. But the photos have been sufficient for the study. We have devoted much of the wedding and outdoor photography is only magnify.
So go ahead and go about your business. The camera is great. !

Yes, it is a great device, but not as durable as the D200. Must serve the proper handling.
